From Phone to Laptop: How God Proved My Blogging Dream Was Possible

For as long as I can remember, I have carried a deep desire in my heart — the desire to write, to inspire, and to speak hope into people’s lives through words. I wanted to start a blog that would serve as a home for encouragement, motivation, and faith-filled stories.

But dreams don’t always unfold the way we imagine. My greatest challenge was simple, yet heavy: I didn’t have a laptop.

Each time I came across blogs online, I felt something stir within me. I knew I also had a message to share. Friends and loved ones often said, “Chinyere, you can start with your phone.”

At first, I resisted. But eventually, I realized that if I truly wanted to begin, I had to start with what I had. And so, I did.

I launched my blog using just my phone. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a beginning — and that small beginning became my seed.

As I worked on my blog with my phone, I prayed. I prayed for better tools, I prayed for strength, and I prayed for divine provision.

One verse that kept me going was:

“Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” — Habakkuk 2:3

Another was:

 “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” — Matthew 7:7

Each time I felt discouraged, I would remind myself of Isaiah 60:22:

“When the time is right, I the Lord will make it happen.”

So I kept working, kept praying, and kept hoping. For six weeks, I showed up with what I had, trusting that God would provide what I needed.

Then, when I least expected it, the answer came.

My husband reconnected with an old friend who had just returned from London. Their meeting seemed ordinary, but what followed was extraordinary. Out of nowhere, this friend surprised me with a gift — a laptop.

To anyone else, it may have looked like just another machine. But to me, it was a miracle. It was proof that prayer works, that hope is never wasted, and that delay is not denial.

That laptop wasn’t just a gadget; it was God’s way of saying, “Daughter, I heard you. Now is your time.”

That gift opened the door to what you’re reading now — my very first post on Chinyere Inspires.

This blog is more than a website. It is a testimony. A reminder that no waiting season is wasted. A proof that when the time is right, everything aligns in ways we cannot imagine.
