The Painter’s Empty Canvas
A young painter once stared at a blank canvas for weeks. He was afraid to start because he thought he might make mistakes. One day, his mentor told him:
“An empty canvas is worse than a canvas with mistakes. Mistakes can be corrected, but fear leaves you with nothing to show.”
Those words struck him. He picked up his brush, painted boldly, and though the first strokes weren’t perfect, they gave birth to a masterpiece.
Too many of us wait for the “perfect moment” before we begin—perfect job, perfect capital, perfect timing. But life doesn’t reward hesitation; it rewards action. Start where you are, even if it’s messy.
What’s one thing you’ve been delaying that you can boldly start this new month?
